My newest Half Eagle acquisition is my biggest point getter, but not even close to the cost of my Charlotte Half Eagle
My Charlotte Half Eagle, in XF condition, gets 2048 Registry points and cost about $2400.
My new Half Eagle, in AU condition, gets 2401 Registry points and cost $1000 less than the Charlotte Half Eagle. And I paid a premium for that coin, an 1857 S AU50.
I guess I'll never understand the algorithm that assigns Registry points.
This is another of my recently re-imaged Half Eagles (MS62).
