Don't know why I started writing this, but as it got going I rather enjoyed it. Just having some word fun and putting comics on a pedestal.
I love comics not business,
I love collecting not fitness.
Take it away and much is missing;
I like Spider-Man more than fishing.
Spider-Man would be a great angler...
Like the fisher of men,
But he doesn't need that,
He already has a powerful net.
I love comics, not stocks.
Of course I'm the fool in their box.
But what is a 9.9 to those in high places?
This is human art and soul...
You think Steranko owns ore?
One is created, the other dug for more:
Human expression versus metal mining,
Artistic possibility or shiny commodity.
Who or what decides?
I love comics for their potential;
What rarity and demand can demand.
Movies that can spark the interest and
Oil is so dull in comparison.
The potential that oil has chokes the atmosphere.
Will oil be gone before comics?
I would hedge yes.
Either way, oil is not intelligent,
But comics are.
I once read comics make you smarter.
How's that fit in the realm of order?
The beauty of humans is in order.
That's why Super-Heroes were first created;
Like a symphony or play,
A way to make the world better.
Human possibility should start there...
Because it seems that today,
Those in power strive to take it all away.
I once spoke to Mozart in a dream,
And he happened to be Mr. Fantastic.
He told me that Super-Heroes
Are never fools, and nor are you.
If you're ever in trouble, he said
Just call Mr. Grimm.
Then he stretched off without giving me
Damn, I wish I had that number.
